WordPress extension not working...need help 1 Week ago

I just purchased AceSEF and the WordPress extension. I first installed AceSEF and everything seemed to work great except my WordPress blog links (which I expected since I has not yet installed the WordPress extension).
So I then installed the WordPress extension and now all my links are in strange formats and some links are not work in WordPress.
My menu links for content pages now have "home" in the URL structure which should not be there. For example, www.mysite.com/home/pageone
My menu link for the blog now looks like
www.mysite.com/blog/blog (notice blog is now list twice)
The link to blog posts is now referring to the archives and the link does not work. For example, www.mysite.com/blog/archives/archives/32/ (it should be www.mysite.com/blog/post-title)
Please help. I have gone through the documentation but cannot find anything for the WordPress extension. Thank you.

Ok, I am not even close to a Joomla/WordPress expert, but I have been doing some test trying to get this fixed and thought the following may be useful.
I completely uninstalled the AceSEF extension and reinstalled. That fixed the issue I was having with "home" showing up in the URL structure.
After experimenting with the WordPress extension I think there is a bug of some sort having to do with the / at the end of the URL.
For example, now www.mysite.com/blog/ works but www.mysite.com/blog does not.
Same for the blog post. AceSEF writes the SEF URL without the / at the end, but WordPress puts in the / at the end so links don't work. I was able to fix this by going into the permalink structure and removing the / from the end.
Now my post, tag, category and archive links work, but my author links do not. For example, the author link should appear as www.mysite.com/blog/author/name , but instead the SEF URL that AceSEF is creating is www.mysite.com/blog/blog
I hope the above example will help. As far as I can tell this is a bug with the AceSEF WordPress extension. I am anxious for your reply so I can get this fixed. Thank you.

Hi Ryan,
Go to AceSEF Configuration and set to NO the "Remove trailing slash".
I've also updated the WordPress extension, plz download the new version.
Best Regards

Denis,
Thank you for your quick reply. I followed your advice and change the AceSEF config to no for "remove trailing slash" and I downloaded and installed the new version of the WordPress extension.
I am still running into problems. Now both www.mysite.com/blog/ and www.mysite.com/blog do not work. The only way I can access the blog is by going to www.mysite.com/blog/blog (notice that it has to be with blog showing twice and no / at the end.
Once I am at the blog none of my normal WordPress links work. For example, a category link shows as www.mysite.com/blog/category/nameofcategory but the link does not work.
Not sure what is going wrong. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AceSEF and the WordPress extension with the same results. The problem still seems to be the AceSEF WordPress extension because AceSEF seems to work fine on the rest of the site.
If there is any additional information I can provide to help troubleshoot this please let me know. I can also give you access to my site if that would help. Thank you.

Ok, after much trial and error I seem to have improved things.
First I removed the author links for my blog since there seems to be a bug with the AceSEF WordPress extension on these links.
Next I when into the extension setup and changed Override Item ID to Yes and entered the menu ID for my blog.
Now the WordPress link seem to be working (except the author links), but I still am getting blog twice in the url structure for the menu link. For example the blog link is www.mysite.com/blog/blog
I would appreciate any help you can offer to get this fixed. Thank you.

Hi Ryan,
Confirmed that there was a bug relating Trailing slash and it's fixed.
To not have blog/blog plz go to Routers=>Skit Prefix/Menu title set to YES for WordPress.
Best Regards

Denis,
I installed the latest upgrade to AceSEF and now I have a new issue to work through. The URL structure for WordPress links are still showing correctly (thanks to your help previously), but now when I click on a post link I see the RSS comments feed page for the post instead of the actual post.
Can you please take a look to see if there is a bug on this or advise how to correct this problem? Thank you.

Denis,
Thank you. That did the trick. My blog post links are working correctly now.
Just FYI, for future improvements.
In the Routers screen I put WordPress back to no on skip prefix because I still want the URL structure to be www.mysite.com/blog/post-name, when this is turned to yes I ended up with www.mysite.com/post-name
The strange thing is that all blog links (post, categories, archives, etc.) work fine and show up in this structure, but the main blog page still wants to show up as www.mysite.com/blog/blog
I am having to create a custom URL to get the www.mysite.com/blog link working. All other blog links seem to work fine now, but the main blog page needs a custom URL to work. Without it I get the 404 error and I don't want to use www.mysite.com/blog/blog
The custom URL I am creating is for www.mysite.com/blog to redirect to www.mysite.com/index.php?option=com_wordpress
This solution is working fine right now, but I wanted to bring this to your attention as some additional modifications may be need in this regard in the next version release.
Thanks for listening and all your great support.
