Regarding double blog, the first one is the Menu Title, the second one is somehow added by WordPress.
Normally if your Real URL is index.php?option=com_wordpress AceSEF will add only the menu title. Can you check WordPress settings about this issue plz.

I checked the WordPress setting and all appears normal. The wordpress address is www.mysite.com and the blog address is www.mysite.com/index.php?option=com_wordpress

I should also mention that before I had to change the menu title in Joomla for the blog to an external link going to www.mysite.com/blog in order to eliminate the double blog for other blog related links (posts, categories, archives).

Not just why the SEF for the main blog page is www.mysite.com/blog/blog. Very strange, but fortuantely with the custom URL for www.mysite.com/blog I have things work correctly for now.
