I'm using the Gavick News Show Module on the front page of my site.

With Ace SEF active the article links open in the component area of the front page, as opposed to a single article page as they should do.

Hi Alan,

This is an ItemID issue, it seems that the links created by Gavick module doesnt include ItemID thats why AceSEF adds the active menu item (home) page ItemID. I've added an option to add ItemID or not in next release.
