Hi there,

I have AceSEF 1.1.12 with the Virtuemart extension v1.0.4.

Everything seems to work except for the download link when a customer clicks to purchase a downloadable product, they get a 404 error. I have turned off AceSEF and the link works without it.

Here is the generated code for the link:

This will generate the following URL:

192.168.100.160/shop/download-area/downl...cfb0c3e58fbe55b092b1

I have checked the download id in the database and it is correct.

Can you give me any suggestions as to how to investigate and fix this?

I set $live_site and it makes no difference.

What else can I do?

Can you help me out here please? Can you confirm that you have tested AceSEF with Virtuemart downloads or is there abit of work that still needs to be done to address this? You help would be greatly appreciated.

Of course that we've tested, we're using AceSEF and its VirtueMArt extension on this site too......

Is this the download link sent in the e-mail or in the order page?

This problem is with the order page.

Joomla 1.5.14 and Virtuemart 1.1.3

The same versions of this site.
Have you modified any VirtueMart file?
Have you chacked for any solution on VirtueMart forums?

The only change I have made is to remove the virtuemart cart image in /components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/common/minicart.tpl.php

I have trawled the Virtuemart forum with no luck yet.

Looking at the URLS is the only clue I have to go on. Here is your code for a download (downloadids removed):

and on my site:

So it looks like my URL is more search engine friendly than yours. Have you any custom configurations for the order page? Can you think of why your URL has less SEF processing than mine?

CAn you try this plz:

OPEN
administrator/components/com_acesef/extensions/com_virtuemart.php

FIND
$title[] = $download_id;

REPLACE
$title[] = 'dosef_false';

Do not forget to Purge URLs

I made this change and there is no apparent effect. I still get a 404 with the following URL:

192.168.100.160 /download-area/downloadrequest&download_id=XXXXX
