This error comes out if any extension you've installed is not 1.5 Native compatible, even if it seems that it is.

Of course that this extension is not AceSEF, if so you would get this error message : "Restricted access".

The error message is set in the top of .php files, for AceSEF:
Code:

defined('_JEXEC') or die('Restricted Access');

I use a fresh joomla 1.5.14 installation an ALL of my plugins are native 1.5 plugins.

I dont use any plugin in legacy mode. I never activate the legacy modus.

I have to pay for the extension?

I Use

MyBlog, Jom Comments, K2, Phoca Download and AlphaUserPoints.

As I said, it seems that is 1.5 compatible but it may not but in some conditions.

You can try a clean installation of only Joomla and AceSEF at Native mode.

You dont have to pay for extensions to get SEF URLs.

The error message is positioned in the top of .php files like this:
die('Direct Access to this location is not allowed.');

I would recommed to make a clean installation on localhost, install AceSEF then install other extensions one by one and testing frontpage after each installation.

It's MyBlog error.

Open file: components/com_myblog/sef_ext.php

Find:
Code:

if (!defined('_VALID_MOS')) die('Direct Access to this location is not allowed.');

Replace:
Code:

defined('_JEXEC') or die('Restricted access');

Yes, the "_VALID_MOS" function is a J! 1.0 function.

Yes, I just got this one too;

Direct Access to this location is not allowed.

Please tell I don't have to start editing
several dozen sites running MyBlog to fix
this problem?

This is my second install of the Pro version
and I don't have time to do these fixes every
time I install it. Smile

The site I did the install on worked fine
with sh404SEF, why not with AceSEF?

Update: Turning Legacy Mode on causes AceSEF to work. I assume you are working on a fix Denis?

Thanks

Hi Daryl,

No I'm not because this is not an AceSEF issue. Plz read the serialnik's message or this:
www.joomace.net/faq/acesef/direct-access...ation-is-not-allowed

Best Regards
