E-Shop Menu - JoomAce LLC - no sef urls on site

sorry for the cryptic title...

I uninstalled joomsef, and tried this component..

settings etc. seem great... but..

After configuring it etc. then going to frontpage to view this new wonder...

All link are just linking to my frontpage..

every single link on my site links to mysite.com/

not reaaaaally a good way to create traffic on site

what can be the issue..

when I save the config I am notified that acesef couldn't make administrator/components/acesef/configuration.php writable..
I checked the file and it is set to 666 (I changed it from 644)

How can I get this component working?

I also get strange urls in content.. it doesn't seem to be able to handle " in content titles...

I fixed some of the problems but the problem with " still persists...

I can pm you a log in to my test site... the site is not live yet..

the article in question is called:

Monosolenium tenerum (fejlagtigt ”Pellia”)

the sef link comes out :

testsite.com/planteartikler/planter/mono...tenerum-fejlagtigt-a

You can add that char in Strip Characters field then Purge URLs.

I just did... the url is now www.site.com/

the rest is gone
