'Use non-SEF variables' causes bug with Jomsocial Registration... 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
Hi there,

I just purchased the pro version of AceSEF, excellent software btw and the Jomsocial connector.

Here is a bug I found. In AceSEF under 'Configuration' > 'URLs' there is an option called 'Use non-SEF variables' that you can set to yes or no.

I installed a new site and installed of course Jomsocial and AceSEF and when the option stated above is 'Yes' and then I click register on the main page of jomsocial and it takes me to the first page where I register, then here is what happens:

1. It takes me to the registration page just fine and I fill in my name no problem.
2. I tab to pick a username and put something there no problem.
3. I enter my email address and then here is where the problem happens, when I tab to enter a password the box turns red on the email address field like I did something wrong.

Now if I intentionally screw up the email address by entering an email address incorrectly the box goes red AND it tells me that I have incorrectly formatted my email address and to fix it. BUT when I simply enter it correctly it just turns red with no explanation, so when I fill my password in and click next a dialog box pops up and says 'info is required. Make sure it contains a valid value!'.

Now normally that would have something in front of it like 'EMAIL info is required. Make sure it contains a valid value!' or 'USERNAME info is required. Make sure it contains a valid value!' but instead it just leaves the email box red and says 'info is required. Make sure it contains a valid value!' with no explanation and one cant continue further through the registration.

When I first encountered this error I was baffled and didnt know where to start to figure it out, then I started troubleshooting for a few hours adjusting on/off switches in different parts of joomla and then discovered it didnt happen when I disabled AceSEF. So then I messed with stuff inside there and eventually figured it out that it was that option...

SO when you set 'Use non-SEF variables' to 'NO' jomsocial has NO problem whatsoever and the box doesnt turn mysteriously red.

So here is my question: Is this a bug you could fix in the jomsocial connector and does it even matter much that I have turned off the 'Use non-SEF variables' option?

Will it cause any harm cause I noticed it was on by default when I installed AceSEF.
