I'm using Joomla 1.5.22 / VM 1.1.5 / AceSEF 1.5.10


I use the TAG extension aswel. The problem is that the result page after klicking a atag shows up to 5 times the same page result.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.22 / VM 1.1.5 / AceSEF 1.5.10

What can i do about this

It is because of duplicated URLs. First get rid of duplicated URLs, then generate again all tags. read this page carefully for duplicated URLs:

i'm gonna try this,.. but what i did in the first place whas set 1 of the duplicates as "used" under the duplicate url area. but stange enough the settings will not be saved. after the next login they are back again witiout the defauld settings.

if i turn off "store duplicate URL" do i need to recreate URLs or is an Purge/Update enough?

If you have cached URLs, first you should clean cache then do other processes.

If all duplicated URLs are generated from the same component, then you could turn off "Record duplicated URLs". For example:
Real URLs:
index.php?option=com_content&catid=54&id=113&view=article
index.php?option=com_content&catid=67&id=155&view=article
SEF URLs:
general/can-joomla-15-operate-with-php-safe-mode-on

However, If these URLs are generated from different components, I suggest you not to turn off "Record duplicated URLs". Because each URL has different view on front-end. In this case, I suggest you to change each SEF URL manually. You can use "Quick Edit" on AceSEF=>URLs.
