I'm having problems removing the ?_____catid=9 part of the url string from the end of Sobi2 listings. When users navigate via the directory structure, all entries are appended with the category number they sit in...e.g. ?_____catid=9.

So the full url as it stands right now would be something like:



I've tried entering ?_____catid under the non-SEF variables and disable-SEF variables areas of both the Sobi Extension: Common Parameters and Configuration: URLs: Global variables. Unfortunately that hasn't worked.

I should add that on my home page I display a Latest Listing module, and within there, the URL's are displaying perfectly (i.e. no ?______catid=....).

Can anyone help me understand what I need to do to remove this part of the url please?

You should delete old links for all items and then generate new ones.

I've checked that link and it looks perfect. Will delete and generate new links as you say. As you kindly did this on a test server, can you tell me what you did as I'll need to replicate it on the live site. A posting on the forum or an email - as you wish.

Copy sobi2.php file from Administrator/components/com_acesef/extensions and paste to your real website. We just made a small change on this file for your sobi2 component.
