I'm testing locally, and I enabled "redirect to www", and then disabled it. Now it shows www.localhost/mywebsite. I can't seem to get rid of the www even with the extension disabled, cleared cache. I dont see anything changed in my htaccess file either.

Just delete www from your browser adress bar.
