Sent them 3 days ago... Did you get them?

On a new site on the same server with the same setting I was able to install and remove several times com_acesef_pro without a single problem but still can't update on any of my website whatever I try. Getting very very frustrating. I would not mind uninstalling and installing again on each site but then all my settings, internal links, customized SEF links, etc. will be lost and I don't feel like spending another day redoing all from scratch. Please be kind enough to look into the issue.

Re: Acesef Pro - Update Issue(s)

OK, I checked your site and your problem is with your "FTP Root" field, it's not valid, try to save your Global Configuration and you'll get the same error. Plz, ask your host company for your FTP root.

Re: Acesef Pro - Update Issue(s)

Hi Denis, thanks for visiting the site.

I do own the server and since years the correct FTP path on all my Joomla websites is /httpdocs

Putting any other thing will provoke an error like

# JFTP::write: Bad response
#
File not uploaded, please, make sure the "Global Configuration=>Server=>Path to Temp-folder" is valid.

I must add than before 1.5.6 it was possible to update without any problem and since my customer code was reseted it does not work on all the sites I have! The FTP has not been changed on any of them since then. Manual update does not work either. Here is the message I got.

* JFolder::create: Infinite loop detected
* Directory could not be created: /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx.com/httpdocs
* Errors detected when upgrading AceSEF. Please check the errors reported above and repeat the upgrade process.

with httpdocs chmod at 777!

Re: Acesef Pro - Update Issue(s)

Are you able to save the Joomla's Global Configuration with the current FTP settings?

Re: Acesef Pro - Update Issue(s)

I tried to save configuration with the details you sent via e-mail and I get the same error message after saving it:

JFolder::create: Infinite loop detected

I've added this to our tracker to investigate it further.

Re: Acesef Pro - Update Issue(s)

I think it's linked with the latest Plesk update and the open_basedir. The Plesk error log is stating the following when trying to update from Joomace:

PHP Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/vhosts/xxxxxx.com/httpdocs) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxx.com/httpdocs/:/tmp/) in /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxxxx.com/httpdocs/libraries/joomla/filesystem/folder.php on line 392, referer: www.xxxxxxxxt.com/administrator/index.ph...pgrade&task=view

I'm now trying to fix that in Plesk itself.

Re: Acesef Pro - Update Issue(s)

Done!

Just removed ALL (X2 or x4) the open_basedir instructions in the virtual host configuration file /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxxx.com/conf/______________httpd_include.conf (if there are several files take the latest). This file was known as vhosts.conf in the former Plesk versions.

Then restarted apache

This did getting pretty obvious when I checked the System Info in Joomla.

This problem is linked to the latest Plesk 10.1

Thanks for your time
