The Jomsocial extension shows the persons Real Name in the URL... this is whether the 'username' or 'real name' option is shown in the backend.

JomSocial extension gets username and name from "users" table. See the image:

You have a phisical "videos" folder so you should rename that folder via FTP or change the menu name.

The videos folder is the default folder that Jomsocial puts the video thumbnails. If I change its name the thumbnails won't show. And the Jomsocial Menu by default is called 'videos'.

So this issue will be faced by everyone that uses Jomsocial.

Is there another workaround. How can I even edit the Jomsocial menu title - would have to hack the Jomsocial template files or something?

I've not heard about such an issue before, despite JomSocial extension in our Best Sellers list. Anyway, try this:

I've done that. Now the page showing is just blank - so videos don't work at all. see runescapemedia.com/video

Make sure you've changed just Something else part, nothing else, even quotes.

double checked and thats all I changed

Go to Global Configuration=>System and set YES the "Debug System", then go to Global Configuration=>Server and set to Maximum the "Error Reporting".
After that go to front-end, refresh the page and write here the error message you get.
