TOPIC: Was my "Internal Link Configuration" issue solved?

Was my "Internal Link Configuration" issue solved? 2 Weeks ago
My subscription for AceSef Pro lapsed today and I'm wondering whether to bother renewing it.

I wonder whether the problem I raised in a thread earlier this year was ever solved. The relevant thread is at:
www.joomace.net/support/forums?func=view...70&id=5595#11581

It included the following:

I've only recently discovered the "Internal Links Configuration" section of the SEO tab under "Configuration" - it looks like it may be a powerful feature of ACEsef which I'd previously overlooked, as an easy way to automatically add links whenever a certain keyword is used...

I've found it easy to add a link whenever a single keyword is used (e.g. to add a link to a page on Asimov whenever I use his name I just add Asimov|www.mydomain.com/subdomain/Asimov.html to the box on the SEO tab) or some phrases (e.g. Isaac Asimov|www.mydomain.com/subdomain/Asimov.html adds a link whenever the phrase "Isaac Asimov") is used).

Since the various internal link definitions are separated by a comma followed by a space (e.g. Keyword1|www.mydomain.com/subdomain/Keyword1.html, Keyword2|www.mydomain.com/subdomain/Keyword2.html), I'm having a problem when seeking to add links to phrases that include a comma.

For example, I want to add a link whenever "Asimov, Isaac" is used - but when I add an internal link definition (e.g. Asimov, Isaac|www.mydomain.com/subdomain/Asimov.html) the link only attaches to the word after the comma.

I've tried placing the phrase in inverted commas (e.g. "Asimov, Isaac") but that didn't work.

That thread was moved to the "Solved Issues" forum and locked following an indication that the issue would be resolved shortly - I was never informed when or if it was resolved...

All the best,

Isaac

The topic you're referencing is a 9 months old topic and as you may notice we've released a totally new version 3 months ago which this feature has been totally revamped and your issue solved.

Okay, thanks for your reply.

I had given up checking updates more than 3 months ago since I was told 9 months ago that the issue would be resolved within 2 weeks - as can be seen on the thread I mentioned.

Since that issue has finally been resolved, I'll have to think about whether to renew my Pro subscription or change over to another product.

I don't particularly want to change over to a new system, but I don't feel that I got good value from my AceSEF subscription given that a promised feature was not delivered within the indicated period (or anywhere near the indicated period).

It was planned within 2 weeks but then posponed for the new version. I know our team had to get you noticed about that, I apologize for that.

Thanks for the apology - it's appreciated.

However, I still feel that I didn't get the promised product for the period I paid for my subscription.

Perhaps the period of my subscription should be extended as a sign of goodwill in these circumstances?
