I would like to be the only user who can access a certain area of the backend administration.

I can or course mark all groups or users who have backend access, and deny them the area, but is it possible to give one user access, and that everyone else are denied?

Re: Zoo Teaser view
Ahh, of course. All plugins where already loaded, so that does not fix it, I am afraid...

Any other ideas?

Re: AceACL Permissions or User Group Levels?
Great, thanks.
Module Assignment, or the separate parameter that says "AceACL Permissions" to define which groups that has access to a module? AND: If I want to give access to authors only, do I still have to set the default Access Level in the module manager to Author - or only use one of the 2 parameters above?" rel="follow">[SOLVED] AceACL Permissions or User Group Levels?

Can I please get a clarification on an issue:

1. I have a set of users which all have to be authors.
2. The authors can additional be part of group 1 and group 2.
3. I have some pages which is accessible for all authors, and some only accessible for group 1 or group 2.

Is it correct that I:
Ad 1: Give access to authors and group 1 and group 2 for information accessible for all authors?
Ad 3: Give access to group 1 and deny access to authors and group 2 for information only for group 1?

Or can I do it more simple?

Thanx

I believe this is a feature request of something that doesn't seem to be working fully:

-I have public access to a Zoo category.
-I want some of the items published in this category to be only visible for authors.

How AceACL seems to be working now is that ALL the items in this category are visible for everyone/public in teaser view, also those restricted for the public.

Can you please make so that the items which are only visible for authors are hidden for the public in teaser view?

Front-end Redirect
I have put "404" (without the quotes) in the Front-end Redirect. I see that if I try to open a zoo category in the frontend that I don't have access to, it just adds /404 after the category I am trying to enter.

To redirect to the root 404 (domain.com/404) can I enter "/404" (without the quotes) in the Front-end Redirect?

It seems to work, but I am not sure if it is an incorrect way to do it?

Submission Access in Zoo
I give a certain user group access to submit front-end articles in Zoo. They need the Joomla Access Level "Special" (which is the group "Authors").

I am converting to AceACL, and does this mean that I have to continue making this user group part of Authors, or can I create a new unique user group that will give them access to submit..?

I use Advanced Module Manager.

Do I use the User Group Levels in the Advanced Module Manager -> Module Assignment, or the separate parameter that says "AceACL Permissions" to define which groups that has access to a module?

(SOLVED) Re: Giant SQL error on installation
Ahh, you're right. I reinstalled the test site on top of a previous site (which originally had aceacl), and then the db tables where still there from the previous installation.

Thanks :-)

I just tried to install the latest version on a new test server, and I got a huge sql error
I have placed the error in the attachment, because I was not allowed to add it into [code]-brackets here.

What a surprise.... Does anyone know what happened?

Some modules have the same name, and it would be great to be able to identify a module in Permissions -> Modules by the Module id, and not just the module name. (second: to filter by module type as another feature)

Jepp, fixed. Thanks. It looks interesting and nice that the interface is somewhat similar to Ace SEF. I'll have some more look at it :-)

Re: Undefined property...
Jepp, almost...

The errors are mostly gone, except when I go to permissions. There I get the error:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /administrator/components/com_aceacl/library/plugin.php on line 158
Version 1.5.24
Notice: Use of undefined constant ture - assumed 'ture' in /administrator/components/com_aceacl/library/utility.php on line 165
