TOPIC: Error with language files

Error with language files

This image is hidden for guests. Please log in or register to see it.

As you can see from the attached screen capture, I have an issue with AceACL and it's language files.

Joomla: 1.5.25
AceACL: 1.5.5

Fresh, first time install. Everything seems to be working, however, the icons on the cpanel are missing their language definitions.

I've even done a upgrade from server in AceACL. Thinking of purchasing this component, but not if it can't handle something as simple as language files.

Re: Error with language files

Have you tried to uninstall and install it again?
What is the back-end language of your site?

Re: Error with language files

Yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times now, same error each time. Backend language, matter of fact, the only language installed, is English (United Kingdom).

Re: Error with language files

Any thoughts on this yet? AceACL seems to be working perfectly for me, it's just annoying that I don't get any language strings.

Any ideas yet? I like the product but do not see a reason to purchase anything when it can not install itself correctly.

Re: Error with language files

It's been 7 days without an update of any kind. Although I love the concept of the software I will not be purchasing it based on the fact that it's broken. If it can not install itself and it's language files, what good it is to me?

BTW, I got a email message saying that something new had been posted to a thread I was watching, yet there's nothing new here.

Re: Error with language files

This issue has been confirmed and added to our tracker to be fixed by our team.

Also, I don't thing that not having 5 language strings translated does make the extension not able to install itself. It gets installed and works like a charm.
