Joomfish Home Page en?format=feed

I am testing a new joomfish install with the latest version of acesef. I have the jrouter enabled.everything seemed to be working okay users can switch between languages using the joomfish module and the translations are displayed and the menu is updated.  However for the home page if you try to switch between languages you get strange URL

http://www2.hausproject.com:82/en?format=feed

and the correct page is displayed but it appears in the format of news feed. I have turned off the news parameter in the joomfish config.
has anyone else seen this behaviour?

BTW your capture is very hard to read 3 attempt so far

regards
Paul

Re: Joomfish Home Page en?format=feed

Flags, are they displayed by the mod_jflanguageselection module or something else?
Have you tried this with AceSEF off and Joomla core SEF on?
VERSION info?

If you use AceSEF, please support us by posting a rating and a review at the Joomla Extension Directory

Re: Joomfish Home Page en?format=feed

Hello Denis,
I think the problem lies with the aecsef joomfish config setting for "Insert language code " This does not seem to work. I have been testing, if I set Insert language code = No the homepage problem goes away however the site does not work properly because the language code is not included therefore the pages do not change depending upon the language if the sef url is the same for both languages. if you sent Insert language code =yes and choose save and purge the language code is included for "us" language but is not included for "en" language which is the default. after doing a save and purge I cannot get any sef urls including the "en" language. If I disable acesef then the "en" appears in the sef url and all is working OK.
Does that help ?
Regards
Paul

Re: Joomfish Home Page en?format=feed

I got Joomfish and acesef working okay. I did as follows. joomla 1.5.17 acesef 1.3.13 you have to go with default ACESEF settings for Joomfish if you try to change these it doesn't seem to work. You also have to do save and purge all of your sef urls otherwise you will have problems switching between languages.

However doing a save and purge you lose the homepage link ie the one where the sef url is blank and I now have two home page links per language prefix for example.
en       index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=1?=en&view=frontpage
en     index.php?option=com_content?=en&view=frontpage

can someone please advise what the correct home page links should be using joomfish ?

Denis can you please sout the image captcha for this forum it is impossible to read and why do we needed if we are logged in?

Paul

Re: Joomfish Home Page en?format=feed

toomanylogins,

I had a similar experience with JoomFish and AceSEF. You must get the settings 100% correct or you may find some problems. I have communicated this to Denis in the past so he is aware of it. If you search the forums you may find some of my posts in the "Solved" area that explain in detail what you can do with the settings between JoomFish and AceSEF and what you cannot (EDIT: Here is my post http://www.joomace.net/support/forums?t … mp;id=6733). As for your homepage url's there will be two for each language just like you are noticing. That is normal because one is using the frontpage url and one is using the frontpage itemid url. They are both relevant and I kept both in my SEF urls. I set the url that uses the itemid as "Used" because it appears first after a clean purge. You will no longer have a url that does not contain a language code for the homepage since you have language codes set to be included in the url. This is normal and is how my website works. Take a look for my JoomFish integration at wattyweb.com.

de     index.php?option=com_content?=de&view=frontpage
