When I got Acesef enabled, users can not log in at the frontend of the site. Even if I got the extension 'user' set to 'Disable SEF'. The urls are non-sef, but users can still not log in. Only when I disable ACEsef in the ACEsef config, users can login again.

Do you get any error message? Or redirected to somewhere?

no errors at all, just a redirect to / (homepage) and user is not logged in.

maybe its worthwhile to note that I am not trying to log in with the Joomla login module, but with index.php?option=com_user&view=login as a menu-item.

aha. I currently have a index.htm in the siteroot, so when logging in with ACESef enabled I get redirected to that htm page (and thus the login token is not received and I am not logged in). Without acesef I get redirected to the index.php I defined in the login-menu-item.

So I guess that if Acesef would redirect to index.php this sort of thing would not happen.

yes. That did not work.

yes. When Acesef is disabled I can login and get redirected to the forum. If enabled I get redirected to / instead of /index.php.

What is the URL you've entered in "Login Redirection URL" field?
