I'm quite new to Joomla and also aceSEF component.
I've installed it and also bought the K2 extension since I have a k2 blog on my site.

The ACESef plugin works great for all the URLs except for my K2 blog (that is why I have bought the extension). It always adds "?layout=category", which I don't want. So instead of www.example.com/blog I'm getting www.example.com/blog?layout=category . Any advice how to get rid of this? Did I have to buy the extension at all?

I have searched your forum already for any similar posts, but missing a clear short explanation on this topic.

If you have pointed your component to a lot of menu items but you want one prefix to be prepended, enter the prefix you prefer to use in this field.


Skip prefix / menu
You can also skip the menu title or prefix so the URLs will start directly with category name.

thanks for your help, but still can't figure out how to solve this.
I'm quite a Newbie!
So if I disable SEF in Global config then I get the URL www.example.com/index.php?option=com_k2&...egory&Itemid=137 blog/?layout=category and when I enable it then it always goes to www.example.com//blog/?layout=category.
When I'm in the AceSEF URL section I also can't see the Real URL as mentioned above (with the Item ID 137)? I have also purchased the K2 AceSEF extension, but seems this also doesn't help here?

Could you maybe just write a short step by step guide, of how to achieve this?

Upgrade your K2 extension for AceSEF to 1.5.4 plz, clean cache first.
