Try this:

title1__title2__title3 and it will be converted to title1/title2/title3

I tried it under "Menu Edit", and it got stripped as before. Could you please provide a more guide way for me to accomplish this?

There is no bug to fix, check this:

The menu alias strips away the underscores.
Where do I add this? Currently I am at the menu item in the menu manager.

I want the option to set several different aliases, not one static for the com_content.

Ed1t: To clarify some, I don't use either section nor categories. Currently every article is Uncategorized.

Please reply me on this. Otherwise I am not sure if I choose to use AceSEF when I rebuild the site using it. Take your time though

I just checked this on a live site and YEs, you can not add __ in alias but you can add in Prefix of AceSEF. For alias, can you modify the "libraries/joomla/filter/filteroutput.php" file and change the stringURLSafe function, as follows:

function stringURLSafe($string)
{
return $string;
}


BTW, do you have any other component that provides Multi-tier URLs that you can choose instead of AceSEF for your site you're building?
