I am trying to understand the difference in the two common parameters non-SEF variables and disable-SEF variables for my zoo extension.

I have some variables in my real url's that I want to be ignored in the SEF, and other variables where I don't want SEF's to be created. E.g.:

• If a real url includes: &, –, — I want these characters to be ignored in the SEF url.


• If a real url includes: task=save, task=tag, view=feeds, controller=comment I don't want Ace to create SEF url's of them at all.

1. How do I apply these variables and in which parameter?
2. If a SEF url is not created because it contains one of the variables above, what happens to the url..? Does it appear as a real url?

Add these chars to AceSEf=>Configuration=>URLs=>Strip chars

OK, so I add them to stripped. Thanks.
I noticed that & gets translated into amp in the SEF, so I added &|and to the Char replacement list.
