TOPIC: Duplicate Content Issue
#3103
Duplicate Content Issue 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I have concerns about duplicate content problems with www.mydomain.com/ and www.mydomain.com/index.php

The Moved Url function does not work for index.php

I am able to redirect other urls such as index.html but it does not work for index.php

I have temporarily solved my problem by adding a rewrite to my .htaccess file
Code:

RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9} /index.php HTTP/
RewriteRule ^index.php$ http://www.mydomain.com/ [R=301,L]

It seems to work fine, but I am not sure if this is the best solution, when AceSEF is redirecting other urls.

www.mydomain.com/ and www.mydomain.com/index.php

This will not be concerned as duplicated content by Google.
