I have 2 language site, with Russian and English (with joomfish support), where Russian is default.
When I do search, and I am in English, it defaults to Russian. I had to disable search plugin(((

My home page is assigned to other component other than Content (Articles) as "Default" menu item. Real url for home page looks like this
index.php?option=com_jevents&Itemid=1&lang=ru&task=week.listevents&view=week (website is www.timeout.am if you need to take a look at)

So again, when I click on home page link when I am in english, it defaults to russian lang. I have applied this fix www.joomace.net/support/docs/acesef/faq/...nd-homepage-sef-url, but it did not help.
Can you please help how to configure Asecef to solve this issue?

I am having the same problem. Ihave thre languages, German, Thai and english as default. Clicking the home and also the search both default to english no matter what language is being used. I am using Joomla 1.5.22, Joomfish 2.0.4 and ACESef 1.5.6. PHP Version 5.2.14 and MSQL 5.0.84 . The Joomfish router is disabled. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am planing on going live with my site on 14.10.2010.

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately the problem that I am having as stated above with the language being defaulted back to english when clicking on the homepage was answered with: "If you want English as default language you should set it as "Main Language" on AceSEF=>Configuration=>URLs=>Joom!Fish" Now that does not make any sense to me. The problem is that for instance if I have chosen German as my language and I am in the forum or anywhere else on the site, then I click the home page, my language will always be set back to english.

BTW I have set "Save language in cookies" to yes.

That is a mod_mainmenu bug, apply the b solution described in the following article:

this does not help. I have mentioned it while describing the issue... Is there any other workaround?

We fixed some bugs for Joomfish, Upgrade the AceSEF 1.5.8, clean cache, delete URLs and try again
