Just recently installed and setup ACESEF and it was working just fine for over a week until this morning when I attempted to follow the instructions from this FAQ -

The only change I actually made in the .HTACCESS file was to uncomment "RewriteBase" and once I saw the results = 500 error, I quickly corrected my change, but the 500 error persists.

Since then, I've tried the default Joomla .HTACCESS file to no avail, I still get the 500 error.

There is no access to the frontend, but I can access the backend admin cp.

Please let me know if I should provide login credentials to the site, I'm not against paying to get this resolved ASAP, but I also need to know what the problem is, so I can avoid it in the future.

Just an FYI, I disabled AceSEF last night so at least the site is live.

I re-installed AceSEF again and it works but there are lots of duplicated URLs. You can review for duplicated links to following links.
