Disable SEF for module 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
|
|
|
I have a mini-calendar module, and on this calendar there are two links for showing next and previous month. These links adds a parameter to the current url, so that it changes the month, but stays on the same page. The parameter can for example be: &date=2010-08-01
Although I see that the whole url it adds is index.php?option=com_zoo&view=frontpage&Itemid=5&date=2010-08-01
I have a SEF extension for Zoo, and when I have SEF turned on, the link to next month creates a SEF link that will naturally not work.
Is there a way I can exclude SEF for the links in the module?
You can see the mini calendar to the right on this page (close the popup at the bottom right): www.humaniversity.com/

Hello,
Is the component/module listed under extensions? If so, you can disable it or use a router file if present.

No, the module is not listed there.
If that is a requirement, I will probably only use the module on the home page - is that another option, of excluding one page from SEF?

Go to Configuration => Advanced =>
Set non-sef variables. Whenever a variable comes up in url that matches it will revert to non-sef.

As Anthony mentioned, go to AceSEF=>Configuration=>Advanced=>Global non-SEF variables and enter the following word:
date

Hmmm, it didn't work fully after all... I have set "Add application to URL" in the configuration of Zoo, so it adds the application name before date=2010 etc...
The url of the next month in the mini calendar then becomes www.humaniversity.com/general?date=2010-08-01 instead of www.humaniversity.com/index.php?date=2010-08-01 which is an url that would work.
