cannot remove category from sefurl 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago

hi
I just upgraded to acesef plus 1.3.7, and am having a lot of problems.. but the most important is my content.
My urls are usually : site.com/article or site/category
but now acesef appends and extra category.. ie: site.com/category/category
it seems to only happen to categories and sections...
I set ALL settings in content extension to 'no', but to no avail.
Where do I control categories & sections?

I can't replicate this on my local and web site, make sure you've set to "Yes" the "Skip prefix / menu" option of Content extension in AceSEF=>Extensions page.
If it persists, proivde us the Real URL of the problematic URLs.

well, I give up.. there is no logic anymore..
I changed a random alias in a category, and this apparently solved the problem...
