Hi there- I am trying to install AceSEF on a Joomla 1.5 site and while I thought the requirements (server, etc) were met - the SEF links are going to an "Oops broken link" page on all links/content. I was investigating the requirements again:

URL Rewrite Module (Apache or IIS)

Our hosting is a Linux system so I guess this will not work? Where can I look to verify that our system supports the URL rewrite module?

Thanks,
Kari

You need to contact your hosting provider and find out if they support mod_rewrite on the apache web server.

Hi there - thank you. I did confirm that it's enabled on the server. Can you think of anything else I might have missed or not done? Best, kari

Make sure you've fulfil these requirements:
www.joomace.net/documentation/acesef/use.../acesef-requirements

Also, try to get a new and clean htaccess.txt file then rename it .htaccess via FTP.
