To change the htaccess is one of the things I tried in my testings.
Anyway, I did it again just in case, but unfortunately the behaviour was the same, the page load keep on being slow.

I'm really frustated, because with joomla sef the web works OK, but only works the original joomla components,
the rest components as zoo or virtuemart obviously Noo, so I won't be able to use the web with Joomla SEF.
Your marvelous AceSef is my only hope to have a web with a good SEO...

¿More ideas?
¿In what way can I help you to debugg the urls and find the problem?

I have other sites, but any of them use Virtuemart or Zoo extensions.

This is almost a monologue, but anyway ...

Today I've been working on the web to try to finally get this nightmare problem, and I think I finally found it. I must say that I have started trying with another template completely different, and everything was the same. Later I was testing module by module, and then plug-in by plug-in to see what was causing the problem too.

Although at the end none of this was the problem, but all these testings has helped me to understand what it was the real problem, and the winner is.....AceSef com_content extension.

I located the problem because every time I activate a module, or only a menu, which had links to something that was an article, the web get slower. For example, only enabling the top menu that has 5 links, 2 of them links to text articles, the home page took about 2 seconds more to load that expected... Uppps!

SO, I've done the following tests with firebug and these are the results:

com_content DISABLED: Without AceSef 841s | With AceSef 1,59s
com_content AceSef Basic Rewriting: Without AceSef 838s | With AceSef 1,71s
com_content Joomla 1.5 Router: Without AceSef 851s | With AceSef 2,19s
com_content AceSef Extension: Without AceSef 841s | With AceSef 6,15s

I only hope that you can take a look to your code and to my web, and try to see how to solve the problem.
I don't know if it's me, but the articles are only HTML articles, and the problem as you can see occurs only
when AceSef is activated, and the problem is deeper when I use the AceSef extension mode instead of AceSef basic rewritting mode.

¿Some ideas now?

Alberto, it's not a monologue, I've red all your messages and thought about any solution but didn't take any action since we're almost releasing the AceSEF 1.5 and I would like to try it too on your site.

Also, yes, it seems you've isolated the issue, it's related with Content extension.

Plz, be patient for 1 or 2 days too.

Honestly I wasn't worried about it, because I was sure we could find a solution, and because you're a person who cares for each problem, and even enter into the client application if needed to fix the problem, and this honestly, it isn't not normal, nobody does, and this fact talk very good things about you.
Only someone really concerned in solving the problems would do.

On the other hand, you've always helped me in the past, and always quickly and effectively.
In fact, thare is one thiong I don't undertand about you.... ¿how do you are able to do all and then still having time to work on other works or activities?
you must have superpowers like Superman or Spiderman to do all this things at once, or you never sleep, ha, ha, ha .. LOL

Among all purchases I've made in relation to Joomla, to buy your extension is one of the best purchases I've made,

I've found my post "Page Extremely Slow" allocated in the solved issues, in despite that really it wasn't solved.
So, as I'm not sure wheteher I write in the same post you will be concerned, I decided to write a new post. In addittion,
there are some issues related with the new version, that I want to comment you....

Direct to the point...

My site keep on being rendered slow when I turn on AceSef.
More or less all the pages are loaded with a diference of 2-3 seconds,
compared with Joomla using Joomla SEF, or not using nothing.

I'm not sure if you remember my problem, but the problem was in the rendering of the content.
In all the pages where the content is bigger, the load is more slow, easy...
You told me that the problem will be solved in the new 1.5 version, but unfortunately for me,
the problem keep on alive, and I keep on not being able to use your marvelous extension in this site.

By the way, I have active all the parametres in the configuration related with the catching of the contents:

Anyway, I'm not sure whether or not the new version 1.5.4 is a version for production
sites like mine, because, there are some things that really are not working, and really
make harder to work with the extension. Although, to tell the through this version is
better than previous so far. You did a good work!

For example, working wih urls... The drop down list to filter results: Published, Used, Locked, etc...
doesn't work, and for example when you try to filter results by not used, in order to delete the urls
you actually don't use, you receive a nice blank screen with no results.

But there is one really bad thing, which was the method I use to work with urls, that make me go crazy.
I usually use the lock button in the urls that I want to use, and I want that never be deleted, I actually thought this is
the function of this button, right? But when I try to delete all urls, the system delete all the urls, even included the urls
with the lock button active. In the previous version this never happened, the system never delete an url with the lock button active,
and this was marvelous, ¿Why doesn't this work as expected in this version?

An another bad thing is the manage of the different tables. I mean...
When you decide to delete a generated url, or a duplicated url, this
url is not deleted from the rest of tables. So, in order to clean your
SEO urls, you must search one by one, and then delete one by one,
the urls in the other tables. In the other versions, when you delete an url, this url
was completely deleted in the system... ¿Why isn't it working in this version?
or ¿When will be this working?

Well, nothing more...
I hope you can take a look to all these things and solve them, because I have written all the titles, descriptions and metatags
for no less than 400 links, and I'm really waiting to use your component, and being able to send my sitemap to google as soon as possible, OK?

Is "Instant Cache" off?
Have you tried with Instant & Permanent Cache off?

I tested with "Instant Caché" OF & ON and the results are almost the same, only little diferences.

I'm testing the load velocity with "network" in Firebug, and these are the results:

Homepage: With ACESEF GET:www.mysite.com 1,74s Load total page 12,36s (onload:13,42)s
Homepage: Without ACESEF GET:www.mysite.com 643ms Load total page 9s (onload:11,23s)

Store: With ACESEF GET:www.mysite.com 2,17s Load total page 12,35 (onload:13,37)
Store: Without ACESEF GET:www.mysite.com 632ms Load total page 10,52s (onload:11,69s)

Well, I don't know what more to test...
