I'm implementing a multi-lingual website,
all my articles for each language are under a specific category (fr for french, en for english)

I have added a language selector module, to switch languages, but it appears AceSef removes the language category in its URL's

Without acesef:
the link for fr homepage is www.jeango.net/jtest/fr
the link for en homepage is www.jeango.net/jtest/en

With acesef:
the link for the fr homepage is www.jeango.net/jtest
the link for the en homepage is www.jeango.net/jtest

consequence: when I click to change language, nothing happens. I can manually change the language by typing the URL directly in the browser, but the language module doesn't work.

Small question,
while the problem is being fixed, what can I do to disable the SEF function of joomace, but keep all other functions active (metadata, internal links, social bookmarks etc...) is it correct if I just disable the acesef plugin?

You can disabled it from AceSEF Control Panel. In AceSEF Control Panel on tha right hand of the page under "Welcome to AceSEF" tittle.

When I click on the "disable" button next to the AceSEF plugin, it doesn't disable it

However, if I disable it in joomla's plugin manager it disables properly.

But my question is: will the metadata still work if the AceSEF plugin is disabled?

Unfortunatelly they will disable but if you are using cache they will not change.

I can do without AceSEF for the time being, but I do hope this issue is fixed soon.
