If the option to show this error is set to 'No' then what will occur when the headers are sent already? Will it now just be a blank page, or will the page now load properly with the option set to 'No'?]]>Solved IssuesWed, 25 May 2011 15:20:59 +0000http://www.joomace.net/support/forums?func=view&catid=70&id=20710#20710Subject: OpenX Banners Cause unwanted SEF url/links - by: x126

Issue: after enabling acesef basic on a stable joomla 1.5 site, both the web site and joomla admin are not accessible showing only a blank screen (fatal error).
Error: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function json_decode() in /var/www/vhosts/.....com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_acesef/library/factory.php on line 44
Root cause: shared hosting has php 5.1.6 without json. Hoster will not upgrade to php 5.2 nor install json.
Question: How do you disable acesef when you are locked out, cannot access Joomla's admin module and joomla extensions manager? Can acesef be disabled by changing acesef filenames?
Prior attempts to solve this problem:
-hoster refuses to install json or upgrade to php 5.2
-restore site from backup taken prior to acesef install not possible at the moment. file permission constraints prevent me from running akeeba restore with kickstart in php mode.
-restore site with akeeba kickstart in ftp mode. hoster undecided if they will create ftp temp directory per my request (i don't have root permission to create ftp temp directory).
Potential solution: disable acesef without using joomla extension manager (which is not accessible).
Steps taken to disable acesef directly: renamed acesef.php, acesef.xml, acesefmetacontent.php, acesefmetacontent.xml, and acesefmetacontent_tmpl.php files in .../plugins/system
Current status after acesef file renaming: the home page is up. interior pages are not accessible (trying to route to new SEF urls). joomla admin login dialog comes up but get blank screen after login.

Dear all, I am using k2 version 2.4.1 on my joomla site: www.tdbart.com. When I click create account in the k2 login module, the registration form appears, upon clicking "register" it redirects me to a login page saying "you must login to access private areas of this site". Found similar issue by other posters, however nothing resolved my issue:
I have set schema to be sitename - pagetitle in both extension and config.
I have set homepage not to display pagetitle (Menu's->Main Menu->Menu Item-> System parameters).
I turned of all caching (joomla and AceSEF) and cleared browser cache. Still I get pagetitle - sitename.
On frontpage it looks like sitename is duplicated: sitename - sitename.

SEF URLs for both standard Joomla 1.5 articles and also K2 items seem to replace the S with O.
eg. news/stuart-smith-wins.html ends up being news/ouart-omith-wins.html
Only some S's are replaces, usually if S is one of the first two letters on a word in the SEF URL.
I yesterday updated to the latest AceSEF 1.5.16 and K2 extension 1.5.9. I think this has only been happening since the update, but I cannot be 100% sure.

i recently bought this component and so far i like it alot! But i have some troubles with it, which i hope i can solve with some support .
1. Duplicated Urls: I saw here a topic about that, but wanted to ask. The Duplicate URLs happen, when i have more than "one" link to some article or so. Let say i have it on my "Front page" and after somewhere else. I tryed to set "Find ItemID smartly" to YES and than checked the extension for "Use Smart ItemID" to YES. Is there anything else i can do to prevent this happen?
2. No tags\internal url on the Front page: "www.3d-sphere.com/" you can see that i dont have tags on my front page,, but when you go to the second page listed at the bottom, the tags are there and internal links too, how to turn them off on the front page?
3. When i change the layout of the Front Page to "larger - more articles" like 2 leading and after 4 in columns, i cant navigate using the navigate bar at the bottom, when i click "2" it will not refresh and stay on "1" and so on,, any suggestion?
So far jsut this,, hope to solve this, great component anyway:)
Tomas

I've been looking and posting on several forums, I first thought the problem lays with Joom!Fish, but it lies with AceSEF. Looking through your forum I was able to solve my problem: making joomfish translate the menu's. But then I stumbled agaisnt a new problem: Once translated, I cannot switch the language back.
Description:
The mainlanguage of the site is dutch, the second is english. Switching from dutch to english goes well, but when trying to switch back only articles change, the menu stays in english.
When I turn Search Engine Friendly URLs (option from joomla herself) off, Joom!Fish works without trouble.
If the solution already lies somewhere on this forum, then I'm sorry, I must have overlooked it.
Please advise.

This is a very general question...
Is it possible to add the name of a menu to the URL.
For example, I have two menus, one called 'Schools' one called 'Businesses'. The menu items in each use diffferent styles in the template. We have some articles that are used in both sections and are linked to as different menu items.
AceSEF appends '-dp1' to the second menu item, quite correctly. What I would like to do is to change:
/category/item to schools/category/item
and
/category/item-dp1 to businesses/category/item
Where the first part of the URL is the name of the menu in which the itemId resides. So the general format of a URL would be:
/menu-name/section/category/article
Or even just usethe menu structures themselves:
/menu-name/top-menu-item/child-menu-item/article
I hope I've been clear.
Cheers
Keith
P.S. this isn't necessarily for a particular site, more a case of understanding a concept.]]>Solved IssuesFri, 06 May 2011 13:45:35 +0000http://www.joomace.net/support/forums?func=view&catid=70&id=20329#20329
