it uses the category name also in the urls (all of them)
how could i control it ? i dont want it to show

but somehow i disabled it
the only prob now is that instead of taking the name field it takes the alias field for the url
can i control it ?

I have purchased the K2 extension and I have problems when I want to search by category.
When I selected the category name and I write the word, no results, only if I search in all K2 component.

I tried in your testing page,
www.joomlasearchengine.net/index.php?opt...search&Itemid=64

Section= K2
Category= Testing category
Search= Google

Result= No Results Found
No search results could be found for query:google

And If you go to K2, you can see an article with "Google" title in "Testing Category".
Only you can search this article searching in all the categorys from K2 :S

Any suggestion?? That is normal or I'm doing something wrong?

I have an issue on a development server that I am working on, I am hoping that you can help me.

I have upgraded Joomla 1.5.9 to the latest 1.5.25, modified .htaccess file to be Joomla default, tested site and it works great using joomla default SEF (URL's are in the structure of /menualias/title-alias.html) and they all work great.

I am using ISAPI ReWrite3 from Helicon as an ISAPI filter for the .htaccess file

I install AceSEF, and upon enabling it, all pages except for the homepage are displaying the AceSEF 404 page. When I change the extension for com_content to use joomla default, the URL's from the main menu change back to normal, and those pages work again. I have tried various configuration settings, but no change in results -- all pages still dispaly errors.

When I enable debug system from the joomla configuration control panel, I get the following error on the homepage - please see attached file)


Any idea how to figure this out?

The only problem is when I search through the module. First, I get a blank page (only with the left menu, as I've configured the search menu item) and only when I refresh the page (or clicing again in the enter button) I get the results.
I have set the item ID to the same of the menu item, but it doesn't work.

I would be grateful if you could give me some hint on why I'm getting some wrong (give 404) urls in the search results ?

For example some of the url's are: mysite.com/component/content/category/11...gation/pkw/xea-serie and they give 404 error. But just below that result i have a 'good' url like so: mysite.com/navigation/lkw/lkw-xea-serie?...list&task=search

I have acesearch 1.7.1 installed and native joomla sef turned on. I'm also using Seblod CCK on the site.

I bought the Easyblog extension after being impressed with the K2 extension, wasn't on the same level of customization and it's my fault for not checking before purchasing. All I'm trying to say is the bought extension didn't offer me anything really better than easyblog components built in router which happens to be pretty good, in regards of URL rewriting.

And because I'm a "Pro" member of Easyblog I'm offered high priority support, which I've got a customized SEF URL's based on my requested need, unfortunatly AceSEF easyblog extension doesn't take advantage of that and takes me a few steps back with no ability to get my customizations.
In case I missed something, I'm trying to achieve this type of links: website.com/blog/{year}/{category}/{item}

So, I would appreciate a refund on that purchase.

Error troubleshooting info:

I've tried all solutions that I can find online, but nothing is really working. The site runs slow with SEF url turned on. It speeds up everytime I purge all SEF urls. But then it slows down again. I don't think a daily purge is the proper fix, if so, there must be something wrong with your code and the way it runs query and indexing.

We currently have the SEF portion turned off to make it run at an acceptable speed. Permanent cache is on, 2000 urls. I've checked the cache file size, it's 4MB, so it's normal.

All server info provided. Moderators please merge or mark it solved as you see fit.

Solution: Simply unpublished and publish the menu item in the backend. Problem solved.

Problem: it was that I had a category menu link, and every time that page loads, it would add id=&task= to the end of it.
And AceSEF URL's would list duplicate links to that menu location.

I have no idea why it happens, hit my head around a few walls, tried editing the file in the topic mentioned in the start, played around with various settings, and ended up trying clearing my trash and making sure no duplicate links came from me, or trash or whatever, and republishing the menu item was the only thing that fixed my problem.

Note: I used sh404sef and AceSEF Trial, before this, I uninstalled both before installing AceSEF Pro 6.

one last thing that will definitely win me is this:

Does the K2 Component, support adding the year to the url?
For example, adding the year of publication of an item to the url.

My site is www.celebratewithmusic.co.uk. Previously the homepage was set to featured articles, now it points to a single article.

At the moment my homepage is inheriting the title and metadata of from Joomla global configuration and not what I have entered into acesef.

All the other pages are published with the correct data.

I have been tweaking the real URL based on the link in the menu item - but perhaps this is still wrong:
index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=101&id=1&view=article
