After we released AceSEF, we recieved too much questions asking about why we needed to develop a new SEF component because of there were great SEF components avaliable. Well, yes, there were SEF components but they either were just generating SEF URLs (sh404SEF) OR didn't fullfil the needs (JoomSEF).

Here it is the comparison table of the most used sh404SEF and JoomSEF components versus AceSEF.

@jakomimi
Both solutions are automatic, you can set the replacement chars in AceSEF=>Confiugration page.

Quoting Denis Dulici:
@jakomimi
You can replace the with the latin one or enable the Unicode URLs feature of AceSEF.

You mean I have two solutions
-replace it manually in new SEF URL or
- Unicode URL does it automatically?

I'm using SEF Advance on many sites, since long time. What I dislike on SEF Advance is its IONcube crypted code, that sometimes generates un-comprehensive and un-fixable php error messages.
Also, much 3pd component's sef-extension are crypted too: I have to wait the sef-ext. upgrade in order to upgrade installed components.

It would be cool if you compare AceSEF and SEF Advance on this points.
