Why OpenCart?
Well, while AceShop is a new component, OpenCart is not a new project. OpenCart is a 5 years old e-commerce application. It has been selected in the Top 3 list of the Best e-Commerce Application by PackPub several times. It is designed in a modular way and has tons of Payment Gateways, Shipping Methods, Themes, Languages, Modules etc in it's Extensions Directory. So why re-invent the wheel by starting to write a component from scratch and wait for (min) 2-3 years until it gets to a stable and extension-rich level?That's all for now, enjoy it!

He brought qualified components to Joomla such as AceSEF, AceSearch & AceACL. Of course that hid didn't achieve all of that alone but with the team of JoomAce LLC. His professional field is PHP & MySQL but due to his job & education he masters XML, Java and C# too.

In short, because of Joomla.
As for installation, OpenCart is inside AceShop so should just install the component, single installation.

I wish also that could be for openX adserver, Pentaho BI solution and Processmaker too :) ( Pentaho and Processmaker are already integrated)

Ps I had a token log in error here that means that you have set the cache on for this Joomla site and thats a long prevailing bug in Joomla core that hopefully is solved in the new Joomla 2.5.2 and coming versions. One of the most annoying things with Mootools and Jquery lib conflicts :)

I have AyelShop 1.2.5 and I see AceShop is on 1.2.6....I though it will be an easy upgrade...just with installation...but , not...I see you will be provide an migration script....is this available already? in general, my question is: how to migrate AyelShop 1.2.5 to AceShop 1.2.6.
