AceShop 1.4 released
Hi all,

I'm happy to announce the new version of the ultimate Joomla Shopping Cart component, AceShop. This release includes amazing new features such as Front-end Management (the only in Joomla e-commerce world), Joomla User Groups integration, AceSEF integration, inheritance of Joomla template's button CSS and several bug fixes.

Joomla User Groups Front-end Management AceSEF Integration Button CSS

As you can see from the above images, now the Joomla User Groups are integrated with AceShop's Customer/User Groups so if you change the group of any user from Joomla then the AceShop's one will be changed too and vice versa. This feature will empower the access control of your site.

Another fabulous feature of this release is the Front-end Management. Now you or your employees can manage the shop from the front-end of your site. All you have to do is to create a menu item for the Admin page. Of course that the internal ACL system of AceShop is applicable here so you can give permissions to any user so he/she can just add products. Finally, the front-end management feature is available only on AceShop, non of the other Joomla e-commerce components offers such a feature.

AceSEF integration was requested from a lot of our customers so here we're. You can edit the SEF URL & Metadata of your products, categories and manufacturers directly from AceShop.

The final big feature is the button's CSS. Now you can easliy change the CSS of AceShop buttons from AceShop configuration screen.

Of course that there are more than these four changes in this release, here you have changelog:

Hello! Congratulations on the management of the Front-End.

Let me give you four opinions:

    1. It is possible to do integration with JFBConnect?
The goal is to capture user information quickly and without scaring the customer with a large list of forms.

    http://www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/features/3rd-party-integration/virtuemart

Unfortunately they only have integration with VM. But as the AceShop is being innovative and a milestone for e-commerce together in Joomla I think this extension (JFBConnect) AceShop to be strategic! Maybe the team joomace could contact them?

    2. In Hikashop have the option to configure the appearance of: category list, category list protudos and products. So you can configure the image size, border colors, and other backgroud.

I believe that creating this for Aceshop not have the dependence of templates suitable for e-commerce as is the Virtuemart. Besides being more differential.

    3. The OpenCart has two limitations that are missing and we have other e-commerce.

It has only four positions of subjects. That the aceshop did very well with the option of using the positions of joomla templates.

    4. The OpenCart not have the option to catalog mode as well as VM, and others have Hikashop. --- I think it would be an extension to be created by the team Joomace.

But until then ... Here in Brazil we have a great developer to OpenCart.

He is creating this extension so you want to catalog and distribute it free. Thus he concluded send the link to download.

A special work of JFBConnect for AceShop could be fine but it's not a must as AceShop automatically integrates with Joomla Users so using JFBConnect as integrator with Joomla is enough.

You can easily modify the output of AceShop.

We already offer an extension on our site for catalog mode.

Great news, but can you tell me more about about the security?
I would like to stay with the previous release for a while because of the module support to that version.
How nessecary do you think it will be to update to this release?

There is no security risk as AceShop has it's internal ACL system so only the users that has been assigned to the Top Administrator group can access those areas.

You should update the latest release asap.

I'm running Community Builder 1.8.1 and AceShop 1.4.3. When I set up a menu for the Front End Administration the menu leads to a login page and when I use my login it brings back a page cannot be found error? I've set the menu item up in my user menu and set to registered for user access.
